HFC United (Hastings Futball Club) is Hiring a Director of Coaching Near Hastings, MN

Job Description:
Hastings Futbol Club United (HFC) is seeking a self-starting and highly motivated soccer-minded person to fill the Director of Coaching (DOC) position for our soccer program. The DOC will report to the HFC Board of Directors and work hand in hand with them to continue developing the HFC program in Hastings, MN and surrounding communities.

Salary: Dependent on qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Possess USSF Class D or similar coaching credential, or agree to meet the requirement within 1 year.
  • Five or more years of youth coaching experience preferred.
  • Playing experience that demonstrates strong skills and soccer knowledge.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop coaches and players plus designing educational programs to enhance the development of the game.

DOC shall work to bridge the gap between the Recreational and Competitive programs to aid in growing the club

  • Strong leadership and management skills that include the following:

o Ability to organize and execute multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities
simultaneously.
o Experience managing paid and volunteer coaching staff and support personnel.

o Possess excellent verbal, phone and written communication skills.
o Possess excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management
o Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including weekend events and be willing
to travel as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Establish and maintain training curriculum that builds upon itself from one age level to the next.
  • Establish and maintain Coach training curriculum to ensure HFC Coaches are continually

learning and growing.

  • Player and coach retention
  • Provide training for Traveling and Recreational Soccer Coaches prior to each season.
  • Aid in selecting Coaches for all Traveling programs.
  • Develop older players to coach at the rec or younger traveling levels
  • Maintain Coaching certifications
  • Provide or solicit input on Coaching and Player evaluations
  • Lead player assessments in the summer for team formation
  • Observe a minimum of 2 practices for each team each season and provide

feedback/guidance.

  • First step in mediating parent/player/coaching conflicts.
  • Hold or organize a third party vendor 2 Training Camps per year.
  • Hold or organize a third party Winter and/or Futsal training per year. If not third party

hosted, participate in winter training or assign certified owner for the programming.

  • Educate parents on HFC philosophies on player development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Evaluate current programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in college ID plans or recruitment assistance
  • Liaison/Partner with High School coaches
  • Community development and networking-ie build and improve nearby community programs
  • Participate at BOD meetings as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
